This is Why We Do It
We know that our criminal justice system has relied on faulty forensic evidence to convict in this country for decades. Mistakes have been proved hundreds of times through DNA testing resulting in exonerations where the innocent have walked out of prison decades after they went in. Still, the law lags far behind when it comes to forensic evidence.
